FINALLY!!! – I’m so happy to offer Newborn Workshops at my studio! First thing, I live in Canada. I don’t live in an igloo but if you come in the winter we could team up my dogs and go sledding around my acreageJust make sure to bring your snow pants, toques, and mitts. My studio is very small at this time and so the number of photographers are very limited each day of my workshop.
Here are the DETAILS:
These will be One Day Small group workshops. These will be the only ones for the remainder of the 2013 year. 2014 Dates will be announced at a later date in 2013.
November 22nd, 2013 : 1 Spot available
WHERE: UrbanAlli’s Studio located in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada (close to Edmonton, AB, CANADA). You will fly into YEG and I live about 10 minutes east of the airport. There are various hotels that you can stay at but I would recommend staying in Edmonton as I’m only a 20 minute drive from Edmonton and you will be able to shop and have fun when you are not at the workshop. My studio/home is out in the country and in November, it will most likely be snowing and there is not much to do around my place other than photographyOnce I have names of the photographers attending I will give you more specific information on my recommendations for accommodations.
WHAT: So what will I be covering? There will be 2 newborn models scheduled for the day. We will arrive at my studio in the early am and learn how to pick out props/colors for a session and set up. We will shoot our first model in the am and I will cover step by step how to pose our little models for each pose that UrbanAlli Photography does. These tools with give you the knowledge you need to pose your own clients newborns when you return home and will change your photography forever.
I shoot with Strobe Lighting and will cover how to position lights with newborns, which angles to shoot from and how to operate a strobe light with a digital SLR to get a Natural feel to the lighting. This is an advanced workshop and I will not be covering how to use a Digital SLR. Photographers need to come with a solid knowledge of how to operate their camera’s in MANUAL MODE.
I will show you what newborns like during a session and how to calm and photograph even the fussiest of babies – cause they come to all of us and parents still want amazing pictures
I will also be covering my overall editing workflow and teach you tricks on how to fix any problem you may encounter in your editing process and also simple things you can do to turn your image from blah to ah ha~!. She will also talk about how to achieve creamy skin tones, white balance, and how to prepare your images to show on the WEB.
WHAT TO BRING: Each photographer will need to bring his/her Digital SLR with a 50mm lens. I will be using a Macro Lens as well but it is optional to bring one. Lap tops are optional. Video Camera’s are not permitted during the workshop.
There will be a limit of 3 photographers each workshop day due to studio space.
UrbanAlli Photography will not be offering workshops to Professional Photographers that live in Alberta, Canada or Professional Photographers that Mentor or Teach workshops themselves.
$1700 per photographer ($400 due upon booking and the remaining $1300 due 3 weeks prior to workshop date)
